Since it was late the cat to human ratio was 3:1 and honestly that's how it should be.

I met so many precious angels and surprisingly my yarn left the venue unscathed, I suppose there's a lesson there in stereotypes or something idk xx

Anyway, I recommend crocheting at a cat cafe, you will never regret crocheting at a cat cafe

We're moving into autumn babes, but it's still kinda hot here...
So here's a mini round up of four transitional crochet patterns (all of which I pattern tested 😌) that still give those autumnal vibes without compromising on the need for lightweight Lacey fabrics for the summer!

1. Granny square dress by @chloexcrochet, need I say more?

She's lightweight enough for the perfect going out dress and can be made heavier in cotton (like my version), nothing says autumn like granny squares ;) bored of patchwork cardigans and sweaters and want to mix it up? Chloe has your back, check out her other patterns too and you'll see what I mean 😉💯

2. Crossed bars off the shoulder top by @marianeedsstitches

This gorgeous gal has options for long and short sleeves and can be made in any fiber composition to adjust the level of warmth for where you live, consider a super soft baby cotton for that perfect balance of air and protection from the breeze, an excellent introduction to lace stitches and lots of explanations for beginners 🫶🏻

3. The Audrey Top by @ara__ph

This one is close to my heart, it was actually my very first pattern test 🥹 I made her in @paintboxyarns cotton 4ply and taking up less than 4 skeins, she comes very light! Sleeves can be adjusted and that open back is perfect for the countries that won't release us from the summer heat (I'm looking at you, UK), I LOVE this one 💙

4. The Hyacinth Top by @femmescrochet

I loooove Femke's designs for the professional yet simple construction and the ability to tailor it to any need or idea! This one is PERFECT for your first crochet raglan, I made it in bamboo breeze from @hobbycrafthq and am considering a second one for the 'ber months (merino/ aplaca anyone?)
